Our seventh graders are getting into the swing of everything middle school! As we began this year that is requiring us to make so many changes, our middle school students explored the value of developing a growth mindset with Mrs. Zwilling in STEAM. By building models, they learned which parts of our brains control different aspects of our behaviors and thinking. They then set goals to promote self-growth. Mrs. Zwilling compared forming new patterns in our brains to forging a new path across a field. The more we travel that path, the easier it becomes! The seventh grade students have taken a large role in recording the HCA daily morning broadcast. Each day, along with the eighth grade, they lead us in prayer, teach us about inspiring individuals as part of our diversity initiative, help us to celebrate birthdays, and guide us in reciting our school pledge. Here, Zayda records an interview for the broadcast with Ms. Kathol to launch our novena to St. Therese of Lisieux. |
