Our seventh grade students are working diligently on comprehension and vocabulary exercises to  prepare for the National Spanish Exam on April 6th. Buena suerte!

Middle school students are enjoying intramural volleyball so much that they organize practices at recess!

• March is Women’s History Month when we will be celebrating Women in history.  If you or someone you know would be willing to share with a class, a division , or multiple groups to enhance our celebration in any way, please email jmyers@holychildacademy.com , and we will make it as easy as possible.

 Happy Valentine's Day from our seventh grade!

• There is no school on Friday, February 12th and Monday, February 15th.

• Enrollment contracts for the 2021-2022 academic year are due on Friday, February 26th.

• February is Black History Month when we will be celebrating Black history and culture. If you or someone you know would be willing to share with a class, a division , or multiple groups to enhance our celebration in any way, please email jmyers@holychildacademy.com and we will make it as easy as possible. 

• Looking forward, March is Women’s Month, April is Arab American Heritage Month, and May is Asian and Pacific Islanders Heritage Month. 

• Pre-K and Kindergarten are hosting a sock drive to benefit The Joy of Sox. Please send in NEW socks for men, women, and children and place them in the boxes in your hallway. The drive will run until February 19. 

• Grade 8 please wear a gym uniform but bring a full winter uniform for green screen pictures on Tuesday.

Our seventh-grade students are completing their entries for the PA Media and Design Competition in the Innovation Lab. 

Tyler and Molly designed a logo for next year's competition for their entry in the Logo and Graphic Design category.

Janiyah and Zoe are also working in a Logo and Graphic Design entry.  The contest requirements challenge participants to use only two colors in their designs.

Andrew and Tom incorporated the Pennsylvania keystone into their logo design.

Brayden is using Scratch to program a talking cat for the contest's Animation category.

Matt is creating a Claymation movie about two friends playing basketball.

Zayda and Sophia's entry falls into the 3D Design category. Using TinkerCAD, they designed a device inspired by Spiderman's web shooter that dispenses a net to collect trash. Here they are waiting as the 3D printer prints their creation.

• Middle School will have Milestone tests on February 9 & 11.
• Student Council is selling Candy Grams - $1.00 per candy gram; deadline to purchase is Wednesday February 10th. Delivery date is Thursday February 11th.
